IMPACT NATIONAL CONFERENCE PANEL 2022
Indigenous panel on climate change, land stewardship, and food sovereignty
On February 25th, 2022, officer Kuaihelani Burgess had the opportunity to take part in this year's IMPACT National Conference panel with three other indigenous scholars to create conversation among college students around the nation about the indigenous experience with climate change, land stewardship, and food sovereignty.
This panel was held over Zoom from 10 am to 11:45 am MST or 12 pm to 1:45 pm EST, moderated by Amy Rios-Richardson and lead by Dr. Daniel Wildcat of Haskell University, Dr. Mae Hey of Virginia Tech, Ruti Mejia of Augsburg University, and Kuaihelani Burgess of Arizona State University.
